Queries Won't Refresh
Hi all,
For some reason my queries won't refresh in Power BI Desktop. When I click refresh, it does nothing and no windows pop up showing an error. I tried restarting my computer and clearing the cache but that hasn't fixed it. Please let me know why it might be doing this!

I agree, it isn't those issues for me either. Let me know if you figure out why it's happening to you.

Hi NCPowerBI
There is a bug in Power BI Desktop June 2024 release 2.130.754.0 64-bit (June, 2024). You can try to uninstall and re-install May 2024.

Hi NCPowerBI
Here are some aspects that you can check:-
Check for Query Dependencies: Ensure that none of your queries are set to disable load. Queries set as such won't refresh as they are not loaded into Power BI Desktop. You can check this by going to the Power Query Editor, right-clicking on your query, and ensuring that "Enable load" is checked. For more details, please refer to the documentation on Managing query refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
-
Query Folding: If your data source supports query folding, ensure that your transformations in Power Query are not breaking this capability. Breaking query folding can significantly slow down or prevent refreshes. For more information on query folding and how to ensure it's not being broken, please see Query folding guidance in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
-
Data Type Mismatch: A common issue that prevents queries from refreshing is a mismatch in data types, especially when using incremental refresh policies. Ensure that the data types for your RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters match the data types in your data source. For more on troubleshooting incremental refresh, visit Troubleshoot incremental refresh and real-time data - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

The following Issue has been created and tracks the activity. Once resolved, Microsoft Community Support will update the Issue Status. An Issue also has a feature to add Feedback via a comment, and a feature to add a Vote as a means to show the level of importance by you and the Community as a whole.
You can also download previous versions of Power BI Desktop if your organization requires.
We always recommend that you use the most recent version of Power BI Desktop, rather
than a previous version. All previous versions have the following limitations:
- Previous releases of Power BI Desktop are not being serviced - you should always use the most
recent release for the latest features and updates. - It might not be possible to open files created or saved in newer releases of Power BI Desktop with
previous versions of Power BI Desktop. - If you receive a warning when loading a report saved in a newer release of Power BI Desktop, then
save that report in the previous version, you lose any information related to new features. - We only archive the English versions of Power BI Desktop.
