Quarter & Period slicers

Hi all,

struggling to find the best slicer (or combination of slicers) to get what I want. The user needs to to select either a quarter or a period 1-12, or combination of periods. I have tried different solutions:

1. Standard PBI Slicer with "Between" option:
   
   

   This is theoretically the best option but the slicer looks far too big even removing the header. Frankly I did not find a way to make it smaller (please advise if you know the way !!)

2. I have downloaded the nice ChicletSlicer but in this case selecting or unselecting several months takes too long input time:
   
3. Using ChicletSlicer for both Periods & Quarters:
   

   but as you see is giving weird results.

What's your recommendation? I am sure lot of you have had the same need in the past.

The Timeline Slicer allows you to toggle between month, quarter, etc.

Thanks @DataInsights , I did consider that. However is not perfectly fitting my needs as still too large and not able to work with not consecutive periods. Prbably Clichet Slicer is still the closest solution to my needs..
