Publishing cannot replace current report
Hi, I'm having an issue where when I try to update an existing report by downloading the .pbix file, making changes then publishing the report, the changes are not reflected in the reports online...
Are you talking about the report in the workspace or inside an app created from a workspace?
If you make a visual change, then republishing from Desktop will update the report in the workspace but you'll need to update the app from the workspace for the change to flow all the way through to the app. (Dataset updates don't need this extra step, just changes to the model or visuals.)
No it won't update in the workspace, if I publish as a new report with a new name it will publish but attempting to replace an existing report does nothing even though it says it has been updated.
Seems to be a bit of a bug to me.
