Publishing Power Bi report with a direct connection to a Excel file.

How can I publish a report on Power Bi that uses a dynamic excel file to import data.
I want to keep the excel file at some place other than sharepoint from where I can update the excel file whenever I want.
What is a possible way for this?

Hi @AdarshVerma1312 ,

One of the way is, you can keep the excel files at a server or PC and while loading data use that file. Then configure gateways for publishing the report. You would need to provide location information in Power bI service for such data sources and while schedule refreshes, report shall use latest updated excel files.

Use can too refresh manually the published report. I think it will not be direct connection, but refreshing manually or automatically is possible.

Hope it helps.
