Publish Only Dataset

Hi,

 

I created a power BI report using power BI desktop and have couple of reports based on report dataset. Now I want to publish only Dataset not my reports. I can publish entire .pbix but we just want to publish Dataset.

    Hi saket_mca1,

     

    Currently, it is not available to publish dataset only to service without report. You can consider MFelix's workaround.

    Hi saket_mca1,

     

    I believe that the easist way is to publish the report and then go to the PBI portal and remove the report from your workspace that way you will keep the dataset but not the reporting and then you can use it to do another reports on the web.

     

     

    Depending on the type of dataset you can also go to the GetData in the PBI web portal and add your dataset.

      I was hopping on Power BI Desktop we may have direct option to publish Dataset and If user want to publish Dataset with report they could do that.
