Before updating from 2.67 to 2.72 it was working correctly but now we are always receiving this error message when trying to log in

      Thank you so much.

    Hi Anonymous

When this error occurs, the most likely reason is that a proxy authentication server on your network is blocking the web requests issued by Power BI Desktop.

If your network uses a proxy authentication server, your administrator can fix this issue by whitelisting the following domains on the proxy authentication server:

    • app.powerbi.com
    • api.powerbi.com
    • domains in the *.analysis.windows.net namespace

For customers who are part of a government cloud, fixing this issue can be done by whitelisting the following domains on the proxy authentication server:

    • app.powerbigov.us
    • api.powerbigov.us
    • domains in the *.analysis.usgovcloudapi.net namespace

If your issue still occurs, check more methods here.

    Best Regards
    Maggie

      Hello

The issue is with latest version of desktop tool I guess.

When downgrading the version, it works fine. So I dont think I have to request my network team for whitelisting the URLs.

      Do we have a solution?

      Thanks

      Vikki

        Hi vikkidurai91

My previous post share a general solution to this kind error.

If it is convenient for you, you could follow the guide there to see if it sloves the issue.

downgrading the version may not be a valid solution.

Because lastest version provides more features than before.

        Best Regards
        Maggie
