Prompt to authenticate to some random SQL server? Consuming from DF Gen2.
That's the infamous SQL Endpoint that comes with your lakehouse and warehouse destinations. During the write process Fabric insists to be able to read from that endpoint to somehow satiate its thirst for meta data (and failing if your company network is properly hardened)
I would concur with the "rough edges" statement.
What is the primary reason why it occurs? I'm pretty sure it is not intentional, right?
Are you saying a network glitch is causing it, or something like that?
Should we be contacting the network team in I.T., or is this a bug on the Microsoft side?

What Microsoft conveniently ignore is that fact that this "solution" is being met with massive resistance from any reasonably knowledgeable internal IT department.
