Hi all,
I'm very new to PBI and have hit an issue that I can't seem to google up the fix for. Hopefully it's a simple fix and someone can point me in the right direction easily...
I have a set of data I've imported and, using Power Query, I have promoted the first row to headers, and applied the changes.
However, when I view it in the "data" view, or the "fields" sidebar, the headers have not been applied, which makes it nearly impossible to work with the data. What am I doing wrong / missing here?

Hi @lizlizliz
Try closing PBI and restarting it.

Now, this is one such scenario where the Power BI - Desktop is confused whether the first row is a header or not. If the promoted header is not available, then in the power query mode you can always enable to option "Use First Row as Header" until the duplicate rows are deleted
Hi @lizlizliz
Try closing PBI and restarting it.

The old "have you tried turning it off and on again"...
I'm outraged (outraged!) to say this 100% worked.
Thank you! 🎩
