Project Planning timeline dashboard

I need to create a dashboard to present weekly development plans for management. I tried using the Gantt chart visualization but it wasn't success

 

Does anyone have any idea how to create a project timeline dashboard?

I'm having the same issue - all the recommended timelines are crap; PowerPoint has fantastic versions, I don't get why these can't be replicated
