Problems with SharePoint Site
Hi,
Everyone I'm trying connect to an sharepoint list, but when paste sharepoint site url, the next message apears:
Details: "OData: The source metadata document does not seem valid. Error: A payload error was read. See the 'Error' property for more details." anyone have a solution for this issue?
Regards
Hey Anonymous , what datasource (in Power BI - Get data) are you using to connect to the Sharepoint List.
I assume, Sharepoint List, like in the Screenshot below:
If you are on Sharepoint online, select the one marked in the screenshot above, otherwise the one below.
Please share some detailed screenshots, how you try to connect, what Sharepoint are you using, on-premises (which version) or online, please share the query from the "Advanced Editor" from inside Power Query.
Hopefully, this already provides some ideas to tackle your challenge.

Tom

HI Anonymous,
As TomMartens said, I'd like to suggest confirm what type of sharepoint datasource you worked first.
Current power bi support two types of SharePoint list data sources, one of them works with on-premise SharePoint and another one works with SharePoint Online. (on-premise and online, you need to choose the matched data connector)After these, I'd like to suggest you check your URL to confirm you have pasted the corresponding one.
For example:
You can navigate to the root path your list host, then you need to remove the detailed part(orange) and only keep the URL to parent folder path(blue).
Full path of your list: https://xxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/teams/xxxxxx/Lists/test/AllItems.aspx
Actual URL used in the connector: https://xxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/teams/xxxxxx
