Hello. I'm having trouble publishing the Power BI visual to the web. It keeps saying I need administrator permission to do so, but I don't have one.
I did some research and tried accessing the admin portal, but there are far fewer options than I should have.
Could someone help me publish the visual to the web?

On an aside. I have found that if you change the canvas size from the default you will also get this error message. I can export a report as standard page, but if I change it to a paper size (A4) for example I get this error message. I am my own administrator and exported the exact same data in a default page 30 minutes ago.
You will be able to find your administrator portal. For me I use the Microsft 365 admin centre - https://admin.cloud.microsoft/

If you don't have a tenant admin, how did you create your account?

Hi @jobf ,
To publish a Power BI visual to the web, your Power BI administrator must enable the "Publish to web" feature for your user or security group in the Power BI admin portal under Tenant Settings. Without this permission, you will get an error saying you need administrator permission.
"Publish to web" creates a public embed code that allows anyone on the internet to view and interact with your report without authentication, so admins often restrict this capability to control data sharing risks.
If you don’t have admin permissions or see limited options in the admin portal, you need to contact your Power BI administrator or IT team and request them to enable this feature for you or your group.
Alternatively, for secure internal sharing, use options like "Embed in SharePoint Online" or share reports directly within Power BI with appropriate licenses. These methods respect organizational permissions and data security.
