Problems keeping selection when switching bookmarks

I've searched through old posts and still no help on my issue unfortunately.

I have 2 bookmarks.

I have 2 visuals that are overlayed on

I currently have selected only "display" and "selected visuals" for each bookmark.

I click the first bookmark and hide the visual i do not want, and leave the remaining.

I click update on the bookmark.

I click the second bookmark and hide the visual I do not want, and leave the remaining.

I click update on the bookmark.

Seems easy enough, but everytime I switch it only shows the second bookmark visuals that I updated. So the first bookmark takes on the same exact selections as the second.

This is very frustrating and I have no idea why it isn't working.
