Problems connecting data source published as FILE (xlsx)

Hello!

I am having problems connecting a data source published as FILE (the files are XLSX) and they are published and configured with the GATEWAY all ok but it does not take me. These files are in a network path where I have the same GATEWAY installed.

Example: \\ server \ directory \ file.xlsx

I need it to take the cluster and it does not take the windows username and password, what seems strange to me is that I put the windows username and password with which I enter that example that I mentioned above and it always gives me the following error:

Unable to connect We encountered an error trying to connect to. Details: "This data source could not be registered for any gateway instance in this cluster. Below you will find more information about errors specific to each gateway instance."

Can anyone give me a hand with this problem? I was able to connect the cluster through a SQL source but not through a simple XLSX and I can't find the way around.

From already thank you very much!!

Hi @gonzalofvilela ,

1. Do you use personal gateway or enterprise gateway?

2. Is your gateway the latest version?

3. What's the status of the cluster?

4. Do you select Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster > Apply Under Gateway Cluster Settings?

5. Do you edit the cloud data source credentials Under Dataset settings->Data source credentials?

please select "OAUTH2".

Try to:

1. Export the data gateway log by selecting Diagnostics and then selecting the Export logs link near the bottom of the page. Reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-onprem-tshoot#tools-for-troubleshooting.

2.Open the Task Manager --> Click the "Services" tab --> Find "On-premise data gateway service" (PBIEgwService")

--> Right click and click "Start" / or "End" to restart.

3. Re-install the latest version of gateway: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-update
