Problem with the map of Poland

I have a problem with correctly displaying voivodeships on the map of Poland. The problem is with one voivodeship - Lubuskie visualization - cartogram, geocoding culture - automatically what is the problem that a given voivodeship is not displayed on the map?

Polish province 'Lubuskie' bug in Map - Microsoft Fabric Community

Hi @radek86pl ,

In Power BI, the issue of provinces not being displayed correctly on the map can be due to several reasons related to geocoding and mapping settings. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

  • Set the data categories:
Ensure that the column containing the province name is set to the appropriate data category. In Power BI, select the column, go to the Modeling tab, and set the data category to State or Province.
  • Use standard names:
Ensure that the names used in the data match the standard names recognized by Power BI. For example, Lubuskie Province should be spelled correctly and consistently.
  • Update geocoding culture:
Sometimes it helps to set the correct geocoding culture. In the map visualization, go to the Format pane, find Map Settings, and then set the “Location” and “Culture” appropriately “. For Poland, setting the culture to “pl-PL” may help.

You can refer to below test demo:

Hello, thanks for your reply. The names used are consistent with the actual names of Polish voivodeships. There are 16 of them, so it's easy to check. I have set the data category as "province". A specific globe icon appears next to the column name on the right. I checked the settings in regional settings (global options and this file) - it is Poland. In the geocoding culture, I explored all available options. The default option is automatic. You write to select “pl-PL” here. I don't have this geocoding culture available. How to add it? Maybe that's the problem. I checked my model according to the instructions on the website https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/changing-the-culture-of-a-power-bi-desktop-file/
