Problem with multiple Y-axis constant lines

Hi

I have added a constant line to the y-axis using conditional formatting for the value. The measure used will return BLANK if a given condition is not met, which means the constant line disappears from the graph.

The problem is when I then add a second constant line using a different measure. The constant line should still disappear when the value returns BLANK, however now the constant line moves to 0 when the measure returns blank.

The two measures are set up the exactly same way. Also, if I first adds one line using measure 1 and then subsequently adds a second line using measure 2, the second line doesnt work. However, if I first add a line using measure 2 and subsequently adds a reference line using measure 1, it's still the second line that doesnt work.

So it seems that when adding the second reference line, the formatting doesnt work and the line doesnt disappaer when the value is BLANK but instead it goes to zero.

Has any of you experienced the same or know how to fix this?

Thanks

Hi @borstroem,

It sounds like you may be encountering a formatting issue with Power BI. One potential solution you could try is to adjust the formatting for the second constant line so that it uses the same format as the first constant line. This may help ensure that the formatting remains consistent across both lines.

Another potential solution is to check the formatting settings for both measures to make sure they are consistent. You may also want to review the data types for each measure to ensure that they are compatible with the visualization you are using.

If these solutions do not work, you may need to review the specific settings for each visualization and measure to identify any potential conflicts or issues. You may also want to consult with the Power BI community or seek assistance from a Power BI expert to help troubleshoot the issue.
