Problem with bookmark (direct use vs. button)

Hi,

I have a slicer which I want to toggle show/hide by a bookmark. I have two bookmarks - 1st one shows the slicer, 2nd on hides it. Both slicers are set to affect display only, not data.

When I use bookmarts through bookmark pane, everything works fine and the slicer holds its settting (means selected values). But when I use the bookmark through a button (Insert -> Buttons -> Blank; Format -> Action -> Type = Bookmark, Bookmark = <my_saved_bookmark>, then the slicer shows but the selected values get cleared. Do I miss something or am I going crazy?

There must be some kind of bug that I am overlooking. I recreated all the objects and it worked for the first try. But it gets cleared for the second and other try.

Update - it must be some bug in Power BI Desktop. I published the project and it works perfectly in Power BI Service.

Hi @Vasek00005 

This is probably caused by that the button was created after the bookmark had been created. You can update the bookmarks after setting up the buttons.

That does not help. I tried to update the bookmark, even delete it and create again. The bookmark itself works when is called directly from Bookmark pane. But when I call it through the button then the slicer gets cleared.

What is interesting is that when the visual is visible and I press the "show button" (with the show bookmark") then the slicer is OK. But when I hide the visual (with other bookmark) then the slicer gets cleared after hitting "show button" again.

Try to switch off the toggle "data" / take a look at the linked tutorial

T tried to toggle Data but did not help.

I think something must be with the Button. The bookmark itseft works fine. I tried to delete the button and create it again but with the same result.
