Hi,
I’m using the Matrix visual to build a Gantt chart and conditional formatting to turn the 0s and 1s calculated by a measure into white and red cells. All is perfect except for one point. Let’s say I have 3 main tasks, each having their own subtasks (1901, 1902, ..., 1913 are periods of 4 weeks).
If all tasks are collapsed, that’s ok:
If all tasks are expanded, that’s ok as well:
If a task is expanded whereas one or two others are collapsed, it seems that conditional formatting no longer work:
Any Clue?
Regards.
Hi labulle,
This is by design, when you expand the one level, it will also expand subtotal level, then other row which not expand is also subtoal level(yellow part)
And conditional formatting is applied only to the values of a Matrix visual, and does not apply to any subtotals or grand totals.
Best Regards,
Zoe Zhi

Hi Zoe Zhi,
Thanks for your answer.
You write that conditional formatting applies only to the values of a Matrix visual, must I deduce that the 1st situation I shown (all top levels collapsed) belongs to that case?
Actually, my 1st example wasn’t so fine. I found later that it’s not difficult to have a sequence of clicks that result into not painted cells, but in that case I also noticed that clicking on the "Drill up" arrow always solves the problem.
Is there any workaround that could make my cells always painted (in white or red) whatever the way the hierarchical data are displayed?
Best Regards,
LaBulle
