Problem publishing a report that uses a shared dataset

I have 3 reports that share the same dataset. All reports and dataset reside in the same new experience workspace. The problem I have is that when I make changes to these reports from PBI Desktop...

Hi timhopson ,

 

when I download a report with a shared dataset connection, the live connection remains.

Only the "initial" report is together with the dataset in one PBIX file.

Thanks mwegener ,

That is what I had hoped would happen in my case. I don't know if it makes a difference however my dataset imports data from SQL Server and also from an excel workbook hosted on Sharepoint.
