Problem connecting to the Analysis Services server

Hello everyone, I need your collaboration and experience to solve this problem.

On a windows server I have the power bi report server and SQL Server installed.

We had the May 2022 power bi report server version installed, I updated the power bi report server and the power bi desktop, thus leaving the May 2024 version.

When I open the power bi desktop it opens the created viewer (without problems), it shows me all the information I need, it allows me to correctly save the viewer in the folders without problems, but when I try to open it an error comes out.

I check the database connection and apparently everything is fine. The test is performed correctly.

Here it is worth mentioning that before the update this viewer worked correctly.

When performing the installer he detected an update and performed it without problems.

The only thing I modified was the database user. I did not perform the initial installation of this power bi report server and I do not have the password or the user as the configuration was made, therefore I connected it with the user "sa".

When I review the SQL Server configuration services, I identify that the connection to the Analysis Services server is being made by the MSSQLSERVER user and as I mentioned I don't have that password.

Any ideas on how to connect this again?

    Hi Syndicate_Admin ,

Since you changed the database user during the update, make sure that the new user has the required permissions to access the Analysis Services server.
Verify that the user account used to connect (e.g., "sa") has the appropriate permissions in SQL Server and Analysis Services.

    Best Regards,
