I have a power bi file that pulls data from our database. One of the fields is "Location". When the location is something like 11E4 and I export this into excel, it creates a scientific notation. How do I prevent this from happening?

There might be more than 1 thing you need to try to get this corrected. Excel has settings for both auto formatting and data "cleansing". These can be disabled if you hunt through the options.
Which one you need to do will depend on whether excel is changing the data itself, or simply changing how its displaying the data.
