Prevent PowerBI from refreshing an imported table
I have a PowerBI file that has two imported files:
table1.csv (approx 18m rows)
table2.csv (approx 7m rows)
I then have another table, table3, where I combine the two tables:
=table.combine({table1.csv,table2.csv})
table1.csv is static and will not change, whereas table2.csv will change. So, I want PowerBI to only refresh table2.csv. How can I achieve this? Thank you!

Sorry, I'm currently viewing this on my mobile phone, so don't have access to Power BI to confirm. However, I want to say that you can right click on the table 1 query in "Transform Data" and disable it from the report refresh. But I suspect that might also remove the days from your report. I will need to check that tomorrow.
The second option I am thinking of is to set an incremental refresh on Table 1. If the table is static, then it won't incrementally refresh.
I hope that helps.

You could set a separate dataflow up for each table so you can control refresh separatly. If you have premium or premium per user a third data flow could combine the two which power bi could read. Otherwise just do the table combine inside your dataset.

AHH yes, that's what I was thinking in the first option. Disabling the report refresh 🙂

Actually an easier solution:

Hello. I've already tried this solution, but it still refreshes table1. I have table1 excluded:
But still, when I refresh table3, PowerBI refreshes table1. Do you know why?
