Preselected Slicer is not interacting with another Preselected slicer

Hello Everyone, I have two preselected slicer in the report page and both are from same table. However, values present in Slicer2 is not getting filtered according to Slicer1. For. e.g. Year 2024, H...

    • Click Slicer1 (Year)

    • Go to Format ribbon → Edit interactions

    • On Slicer2 (Hypertension type) you’ll see icons:

      • Filter (funnel) 

      • None (circle-with-slash) 

    Make sure Slicer2 is set to Filter, not None.

    This happens because both slicers are preselected, so Power BI applies each slicer’s filter independently at page load and does not re-evaluate one slicer based on the other’s selection. As a result, Slicer 2 keeps showing all values even if only a subset exists for the Year selected in Slicer 1. To fix this, clear the default selection from one slicer, ensure Edit interactions is enabled between slicers, or use a dimension table (separate lookup table) for slicers instead of slicing directly from the fact table.
