Theoretically you would follow the video here:

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/integrate-power-bi-reports-in-sharepoint-online/?WT.mc_id=P...

Now, that being said, this assumes that you can create "modern" pages in SharePoint Online. To activate this, you would follow these instructions.

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Allow-or-prevent-creation-of-modern-site-pages-by-end-users...

But, on that same settings page, you will need to enable Preview Features as well.

If you have done all of that, you can then create a "modern" page and then use the Power BI web part (preview). Or, you could be like me, have Office 365 enabled for First Release, have Site Pages enabled, have Preview Features enabled and still not be able to create a modern page and thus use the new Power BI web part. Joy. Not sure if it just hasn't been rolled out to my tenant or what the hay is going on. I have modern experiences for some lists and libraries but no site pages "modern" page joy.

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with the embedded powerbi (preview) in sharepoint modern page: though the url is filtered out ( e.g: https://app.powerbi.com/groups/abcc9460-0484-45b0-818d-afcfa0d2ed10/reports/8ef959e1-808c-49d0-bc2d-...)

Still when embedded in sharepoint modern page the filters are not working and I have the full list of items available.

Does anyone have try to embed an already filtered report on sharepoint modern page?

Thanks

OK, so...slight correction to this. I created a brand new site collection and chose "Team Site" as my template. I had the ability to create a modern page there (Site Page) and I could add the Power BI (preview) web app. So, I guess modern pages do not work with "old" style site collections? The site collection I was using before was one that had existed for a while. I realize this is a SharePoint question, but if anyone can confirm/deny this, that would be peachy. And, then, of course, how to convert an existing site collection to a site collection that supports Site Pages, even peachier.

Hello PBI Experts,

Can some one let me know whether  .pbix file can be called from other applications as I need to pass parameters almost 10 parameters from the .Net Application / Share Point portal ??

If Yes what are the depedencies or configurations I need to take care of?

Any version issue compatibility.

Now I have SSRS 2012 reports which I call from .Net Application and works smoothly as expected as I pass parameters from Application to SSRS..

Thanks

Mahesh
