PowerBi - sharepoint permission

I wanted to add a Power BI report to an internal SharePoint site. My plan was to use a webpart and add the Power BI report.

From the PowerBI, I would get a link through "Embed in SharePoint Online". And insert to SharePoint. Is this possible?

And will be report become public? If not, then individuals who have access to the SharePoint site be able to view the report without having PowerBI Pro license?

Thanks.

  • Hi Anonymous
It is possible to add the Power BI report to a SharePoint Online page through "Embed in SharePoint Online".
Please refer to the following link to achieve your goal.
Adding  the Power BI report to a SharePoint Online does not make report become public, only users who are given permission are able to view the report.
To be able to view a report in sharepoint, Users need to have a PBI license or the content needs to be in a workspace that is in a Power BI Premium capacity.

    Best Regards
