PowerBi Bookmarks / Renaming Tabs
Hi all,
So... I have about 20+ dashboards, all have bookmarks to selectively show/hide sections on the report (not my design). I have just been asked to rename most of the tabs, which I have just discovered, breaks all of the associated bookmarks.
Is there a way of renaming the tabs, without breaking the bookmarks? It is a HUGE effort to go and set up all of the bookmarks again.

No I don't believe there is a way to do this without breaking the bookmarks. What I'd suggest you do is this:
Duplicate pages
Rename the duplicate pages
Delete the old pages
Repoint the bookmarks
This preserves the show/hide visibility states for visuals.

I could not replicate this issue on my side. However, trying saving the report as PBIP file (enable it in the Preview features if not enabled already). The PBIP file will save the information related to pages and bookmarks in separate JSON files and you should be able to track what changes in the page related JSON and update it accordingly in bookmarks JSON file. Try it for small incremental changes first to check if it works, then you can update similarly for all (or even create a simple PowerShell script if you have a lot of reports).
