My company is running a semantic data model on our PowerBI Pro account, using a various set of web based data sources and several files on an Azure Blob storage.
The model is running for about a year now and has continuously grown, we never experienced much issues with refreshes.
This morning we had a message that the refresh failed due to Type Mismatch issue in one of the file coming from the blob storage. We initally tested the refresh in PowerBI desktop, without any issue. Then we refreshed the files on the blob storage and refresh again on desktop, no issue. However, the online version kept posing issues.
We decided to overwrite the version of the model on PowerBI Premium with the local version (the one that refreshed). Then we got the following issue "Failed to TransactionalRepublishAbf database: The evict operation for database was throttled by Power BI Premium because another operation for the same database is in progress. Please try again later.
Power BI Semantic Model Error Code: -1056899026
Then I tried to cancel the running refresh through the UI, but that didn't work.
And now we are basically stuck. We have a model that keeps refreshing, our dashboards based on the model are not working which also impacts the app.
I have uploaded the same model under a different name as a second model on our workspace. Works and refreshes without any issue.
Can someone suggest what we can do?
