PowerBI data consumption with Azure
Good morning, I have a database in Azure and last month it triggered my bill due to an increase in Azure data consumption. My database has a size of 22 megabytes and consumption was over 800 gigabytes. Microsoft's technical service has told me that it could be a problem using PowerBI. The truth is that I used it for a few hours, as configured and created my dashboard in PowerBI, but I doubt that has caused that increase in the data consumption of my Azure account. Can anyone get me out of this doubt?

Hi Jordi,
This is so complicated. I can only give some suggestions.
1. You can get the detailed usage from Azure. You can check if the 800 G is consumed in one day.
2. As far as I know, Power BI will consume some communication usage, data transferring including first connection and refresh.

Hi,
apparently the problem has been that I had activated IMPORT mode, which imports all the lists in each query. Now I'm testing with the DIRECTQUERY mode, which only brings the query you need, this may solve the problem

Hi Jordi,
This's a good idea. The whole database is only 22 MB. It's almost 36363 times importing or refreshing the whole database. I think some researches are needed.
