PowerBI URl parameter to add export ability?

In our PowerBI report we have the ability to export a dill down to excel by selecting the visiual, and clicking on the 3 dots, then export:

When we export the URL and embed it into a powerpoint we lose that ability. Is there param we can add to url (similar to filtering) that will add this back?

This is what the 3 dots show in pptx:

Possible Alternatives:

  1. Direct Link Access: You could provide users with a link back to the Power BI Service where they can interact with the report and use the export feature. This link can be placed alongside the embedded report in the PowerPoint.

  2. Export from Power BI Service: If data export is essential, you could advise users to perform the export directly from the Power BI Service before embedding the report into PowerPoint.

  3. Power Automate Integration: You could create a Power Automate flow that allows users to export data from a Power BI report and send it to Excel or email automatically. This way, the PowerPoint embed could include the report, and users can trigger the export using a separate mechanism.

I think the power automate method might be the best bet. I assume there is a way i can filter a report during the power automate flow and export it. I will def need to look into this.

When embedding a Power BI report into PowerPoint or using the embedded URL for viewing, the interactive export options (such as exporting underlying data to Excel) are generally not available due to limitations in embedded or "read-only" modes.

Unfortunately, there isn't a URL parameter or setting that can enable the export functionality in PowerPoint or embedded scenarios. This limitation is due to the way embedded reports work—they focus on viewing and interaction but not on exposing the same level of feature access that is available in the Power BI Service interface (such as exporting data).
