PowerBI Trigger - Power Automate

Hi,

I want to create a flow in Power Automate that triggers an action based on a specific row in a Power BI table I want to ensure that if you accidentally trigger the flow, that it does not trigger and send using all the rows and that it would only trigger if one row is selected.

It is very easy to accidently press the trigger and initative the flow usings all the rows in the table which could be problamatic

Has anyone any ideas? I would be very greatful.

Thank you

John

None of that is possible. You need to do your validation in the flow itself - check for the array size to be exactly 1 before proceeding.

Please be more specific. Triggers are based on events, not on data.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I have a Power BI report with a table visual, and I've added a button that triggers a Power Automate flow. The issue I'm facing is that if the button is accidentally pressed without selecting a row in the table, the flow triggers and processes all rows in the table, which is problematic.

What I want to achieve is:

  1. Ensure that the flow only triggers when a single row is selected in the Power BI table.
  2. Prevent the flow from triggering or performing any action if no row or multiple rows are selected.

The trigger and table have the table same columns in it, so if pressed a row in the table it would only send one row. The issue I'm facing is that if the button is pressed without selecting a row in the table, the flow triggers and processes all rows in the table.

I hope that is enough info

Thank you much appreciated

John
