PowerBI Time Slicer

Hello everyone,   I read through quite a few posts in the archive about time slicers (not date slicers), and it seems like the feature is not available.   Now in 2021, are there any work arounds ...

    Hi Anonymous 

     

    Not sure which kind of time slicer you are referring to, but it seems to be an unavailable feature currently. 

     

    If you want to have a hierarchy time slicer, you need to have Hour/Minute/Second columns in the table in advance. Then you can create a custom hierarchy in Fields pane. Right click on Time column and select Create hierarchy. Right click on Hour/Minute/Second columns one by one and select Add to hierarchy > hierarchy name (the hierarchy created in previous step).

     

    You can use this custom hierarchy in slicers and other visuals.

Anonymous as I originally posted, you don't have a choice for this, all the works around are just using separate slicer for hours, minutes, etc which defeat the purpose.

    Yes, indeed.  I hope they will introduce the feature in the future :(.
