PowerBI Report Builder: how to format date for report parameter?

Hello,

 

I have a paginated report that has a parameter called Statement Date. The available values for it are being obtained from a SQL storeproc. The available values are just dates with no timestamp in the SQL db. However Report Builder seems to automatically add a 12:00:00 AM timestamp to it which is unnecessary. How do I remove it?
