PowerBI Quickbooks Online Connector Sign-in Scripting error

Hi!

I am trying to sign back in to Quickbooks Online through PowerbI desktop(app and x64 version) and am getting the following errors after entering my quickbooks online credentials and signing on:

This was completely working for a few weeks ago. This had happened previously a couple months ago but then started working again. It is now back again. After reviewing other posts on the issue, it seems that this is happening to others as well right now:

Tried installing latest version and all other suggested fixes with no luck. Would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks!

Eric

  • I have this error as well trying to loging to my QBO account for the first time.  I don't quite understand what this 'short term' solution is?  Is there anyway to connect right now from the PBI desktop?

    Hi, ericlynch111

You may find the known issue here . Power BI customers attempting to author content with QuickBooks Online using the Power BI Desktop client may encounter an error window saying "Script Error". As a short term mitigation, the Intuit team has rolled back the impacting change for two weeks. During this time, customers are requested to log in using the Power BI desktop client and then refresh their report every 30 days until a permanent fix is available. The long term solution for this issue is expected to be deployed by the end of March, 2021.

    Best Regards

    Allan

      Allan,

Thanks for this. I am still not quite understanding as I cannot login with the desktop client becuase i get the scripting error. Am I missing something here? Has the two week window passed?

      Thanks,

      Eric
