It sounds like the issue might be that when the new report is added, the data structure isn't staying consistent—things like different column names, missing fields, or changes in formatting could be breaking the connection in Power BI. To avoid this, I’d recommend making sure that any new dataset follows the exact same format as the original.
Another possible reason could be a change in ownership. If the dataset or report owner changes, it might affect access and disrupt the connection in Power BI.
