I'm having problems with reports that consume the data from the sharepoint source, it seems that it has the same problem that occurred with Google services the previous week. On Friday (08/29/2025) my reports that depend on sharepoint were working correctly, without any problem. Today as soon as I started my workday, I already noticed that the reports started to generate errors of "The credentials provided are invalid", but there was no change or anything like that, I have tried to redo the connection process several times and it always returns to the same problem.
I've tried setting up at different privacy levels and nothing worked, I cleared the credentials and redid it again, but to no avail!

Everything indicates that the services are having problems, I will monitor during the day and any news I update here in the chat.

Power BI Service works because it uses your O365 account, but Desktop is failing due to wrong authentication.

Fix :

In Power BI Desktop → File → Options & settings → Data source settings.

Find your SharePoint/Excel source → Clear Permissions.

Reconnect → choose Organizational Account → Sign in with O365.

Recheck Power Query steps (remove faulty Changed Type).

Most cases solved after reconnecting with Organizational Account.

HI

Tried it just now Did not work.

Hi @abksharma,

Thank you  for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

Since it works fine in Service but not in Desktop, the issue mostly comes from the SharePoint file path. In Desktop, please try using the full file link (the direct Excel path from SharePoint, not the web view link). Also make sure you are on the latest Power BI Desktop version.

If Excel itself can open the same SharePoint link without any issue, but Power BI still fails, then we may need to check regional settings or gateway setup.

please go through with the below document hope it may resolve your Issue:

on local also it loaded everything but just shows errors. and while loading error rows it shows blanks. I think excel has errors. because EXCEL file is created by a automatic tool.

Hi @abksharma,

Thanks for sharing the details. From what you said, it looks like the problem is with the Excel file itself, since it is created by an automatic tool. Many times such files have hidden errors like #N/A, #VALUE! or blank error cells, which Power BI shows as error rows.

Try This Steps you may solve your issue:
  1. Open the Excel file directly and see if any cells show error values.
  2. In Power Query, right–click on the step before error and choose Keep Errors. This will show you which rows/columns are giving problem.
  3. If you see error values in Excel, you will need to clean or fix those in source file before                loading to Power BI.

Hope the above provided information help you resolve the issue, if you have any further concerns or queries, please feel free to reach out to us.
