Have been dissecting this one for better part of the day. Initially thought it was my report broken, then thought it was the Timeline visual, now I believe I have narrowed the issue down to PBI v2.141.1253.0 x64 being broken.
My initial post was here with some details on the Timeline visual not working (unless I have the entire range selected) - Re: Power BI Custom Visuals' Community - Microsoft Fabric Community
I have since downgraded to v2.140.1577.0 x64 and everything is working again. Archive version located here Previous monthly updates to Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn (labeled as 2.140.1078.0) and filename PBIDesktopSetup-2025-02_x64.exe. FWIW I am also running on ARM64.

Yes, several of us have another thread going https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-Ideas/Make-power-BI-desktop-fully-compatible-with-A...
At this stage there is no solution, only band aids. Hopefully a future windows update to prism will rectify this issue moving forward for ARM users - who were seemingly abandoned by Microsoft.
Hi @Stinkys,
Thank you for sharing the ongoing discussion thread. It's clear that several community members have been impacted, and I appreciate everyone’s efforts in bringing attention to this issue.
While it’s true that ARM users are currently facing some limitations, I trust that the Power BI and Windows teams are aware and actively working toward long-term compatibility improvements. Microsoft has consistently demonstrated a commitment to cross-platform support, and I’m hopeful that future updates whether to Power BI Desktop or supporting components like Prism will address these concerns.

Hi @Stinkys,
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand how frustrating it can be when something that previously worked stops functioning as expected. It’s possible that recent platform updates or security changes have impacted how external images, especially those requiring authentication are handled during PDF exports. While there hasn’t been an official fix yet, it’s reasonable to expect that Microsoft may address this in a future update.
In the meantime, we recommend continuing to monitor the Power BI Community forums and Microsoft release notes for any updates or potential workarounds. Your feedback is valuable, and raising these issues helps ensure they stay visible to the product team. Hopefully, a more permanent resolution will be available soon.
Now we’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Should you need further assistance in the future, we encourage you to reach out via the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum and create a new thread. We’ll be happy to help.
Thank you.

The problem for our group, I think, is that it was working and then Microsoft broke it and is refusing to fix it. If there's functionality that requires an update to Prism it would make sense to update Prism first, then Power BI. But it is what it is.

THANK YOU so much for this post. I was having the same issue and was going crazy trying to resolve it.
Hi @Stinkys,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for the detailed troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken. We appreciate your effort in isolating the issue.
We understand that Power BI Desktop version 2.141.1253.0 x64 is causing problems with the Timeline visual, where it only works if the entire range is selected. Since you confirmed that downgrading to version 2.140.1577.0 x64 resolves the issue, it does indicate a potential bug in the latest release.
Please post regarding the same in the issues forum for wider visibility:

Thank you for understanding.
The issue also occurs if a column of a time table/dimension (marked as date table) is used in a dynamic parameter-fields list and is used in normal visual like a stacked-column chart.
