PowerBI Desktop not authenticating LiveConnectValidationFailed

Failing with LiveConnectValidationFailed.  Works via browser

Desktop version 2.126.1261.0 64-bit (February 2024)

    Resolved if anyone is interested.

    We changed our private DNS routing for api.powerbi.com

     

    confirmed by powershell test-netconnection api.powerbi.com -port 443

    then the app signing in properly after this change
