PowerBI Desktop Slow When Updating DAX

Hello,

I am finding updating DAX excruciatingly slow with visualisations paused. PowerBI is in a not responding state most of the time after changing a DAX expression.

I have Version: 2.116.966.0 64-bit (April 2023).
I have the same experience on 2 different PCs.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

It seems there was an internal network fault that was causing the issue.

Hi @MrGlenn 

I haven't tested it out yet but there are options in a recent release to reduce waiting times during dev on the Optimize ribbon in desktop.

Might be the case (and usually is for me!) that the DAX requires optimisation. DAX studio is the place for this
