PowerBI Desktop Query Refresh Popup Not showing up

Since today morning, whenever i right click a table in the data pane and click on "Refresh Data", the window that usually pops up (with creating connections, number of rows loaded and errors etc) is not coming up. After a while it looks like the table is refreshed, but only when i hover the mouse over it. 

Any help on how to get the popup back pls?

reinstall 2.129.1229.0 and wait for Microsoft to issue a fix.

The interesting thing is that this might actually be a desired behavior - the ability to continue to use a report while the refresh is in progress, instead of having to stare at the modal window.

 

But I can see how this can be confusing to a developer.  Maybe an indicator in the top bar that a refresh is in progress so the dev is not surprised when the data changes.

Although the update pop-up window does not appear, it means that the data is being updated in the background! amazing!

I am also having the same issue.
Clicked on the Refresh button but no response at all. 
The data is not refreshes al all. 

I am using June version. 

Any expertises to help us ?

Hi @AiyooDa - Hope you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop . To troubleshooting refresh popup , 

Sometimes, the settings may get corrupted or change unexpectedly. Resetting can resolve such issues.

Go to File > Options and settings > Options.
Navigate to Diagnostics.

Click on Enable tracing, then restart Power BI Desktop,you can also clear the cache in Data Load for current file.  reopen the pbix file and check once.

Hi @AiyooDa - if any possibility, you can rollback to may 2024 release.

Same. They have changed all versions of PowerBI links to the June edition. And the software auto updates.

I'm having the same issue. No pop-up window showing that the data is being refreshed.
