PowerBI Desktop - Get Data from Access DB Load error

Hello, I'm a newbie in PowerBI and getting an error when trying to load multiple tables from one Access database file stored in my network OneDrive or local drive. Error message I get for each table when trying to load = "The database has been placed in a state by user 'Admin' on machine 'USXXXXXXXX' that prevents it from being opened or locked." Although it will only let me load one table which isn't optimal as I need data from multiple tables in this particular DB file.

I have checked to ensure the DB file isn't locked or being used by anyone else. I also tried upping the memory limit to "Premium capacity" and selecting option "One (disable parallel loading)" and same outcome.

Can someone please help!

Thanks,

Luis

  • Access is by nature a single-connection database.  You can make multi-user work but only just.

Ideally you would be able to move your data to a real database.
