PowerBI Desktop Connection Reset during Get Data
When attempting to load data from our Production AWS Redshift environment, I get the following error:
This error is returned at different points in the Get Data process:
1. When connecting to the system
2. Loading data from the first table
3. After putting data from the first table and returning to Get Data to attempt to load data from a second table
I can do all of this in our Test Environment. And I can access all of this data in Production using other tools.
Any ideas on what is happening or how to resolve it?
1. Are you using the latest version of power bi desktop? if not then please install the latest version
2. are you using the AWS redshift native connector? or Are you using the ODBC connector, if you using the ODBC connector then please consider using the native redshift connector

3. I am assuing your AWS source is protected with firewall rules, if yes then make sure your VPN connection is stable.
this error seems be from the AWS source end. You will find mutiple articles in the internet about this error.
If none of the options work, I would suggest you to talk your AWS redshift db management team to check if there is any problem at their end. If they can fix the connectivity from your machine to redshift

Apologies for the late reply. The notifications ended up in my Spam folder. I installed the latest version of PBI Desktop and that solved the issue. It's interesting how it worked in all our other environments, but not the one. Thank you for the assistance.
