markive, great! Please stay tuned for the update news. Soon you'll be able to customize the background evaluation behavior via the settings menu.

    pqian, Any news about this? I'm currently having the exact same issue, with the difference that In my case I have 3 different instances of process "Microsoft Mashup Evaluation Container" consuming an overall 70+ CPU as soon as I open the pbix file.

      By the way, this started happening today after I updated Power BI Desktop to version: 2.42.4611.701 64-bit (May 2017).

        OMG, I have a similar problem from that date, since I updated Power BI. In my case I can't refresh it because all the memory is overloaded and it also blocks my computer.

         

        I need help!!!!
