PowerBI Desktop = CPU + Memory Hog
markive can you tell us which process is using 30%-50% of the CPU? pqian, Any news about this? I'm currently having the exact same issue, with the difference that In my case I have 3 different instances of process "Microsoft Mashup Evaluation Container" consuming an overall 70+ CPU as soon as I open the pbix file.

By the way, this started happening today after I updated Power BI Desktop to version: 2.42.4611.701 64-bit (May 2017).

OMG, I have a similar problem from that date, since I updated Power BI. In my case I can't refresh it because all the memory is overloaded and it also blocks my computer.

Same thing here. Since installing the latest version, I've been unable to keep PBI Desktop open for more than two minutes before everything freezes and I need to restart my computer.
