PowerBI Connecting Tables with Different Values

Hello.

I am reading in rows of data and I am running into an issue revolving around conencting data in two differnt tables. I am trying to use the map visual and reading BLR, MMK, Westlake, Boston as values from one table. I have created another table and written Bangalore, Merimmack, Westlake, and Boston in the other. How do I create a relationship between the two tables and the specific abreivations and the full forms in powerbi?

You need to have a common column, where one of the two column from your two table contain unique elements.

If you want to create a table with only the distinct value, go to modelisation > create new table and in the formula field type "Table = DISTINCT(YourTable[YourColumn])

Then go to the relationship tab and click on "Manage relations" and create a new relation between your two tables.

If you don't understand, can you provide a sample of your data ?
