I am trying to add a PowerApps Visual in my one of the Power BI Report. I am using Power BI Desktop application. I am following below steps to add a PowerApps Visual in my report.
1) Open PowerBI application
2) Add a sharepoint online list as datasource
3) Add a table visual with columnsas ID and Title
4) Publish the report
5) Add a PowerApps visual > select ID and Title column
6) Create New PowerApps
7) HERE IS THE ISSUE: The PowerApps app gets opened in new browser tab but I am not able to see the Gallery Added there.
If I add the gallery manually, I am not able to select the ThisItem.ID or ThisItem.Title in the labels. I can only see ThisItem.IsSelected property.
Can someone please guide me what step I am missing?
Hi Mayuresh,
I had the same issue today and this is what did the trick for me:
1) Open PowerBI application
2) Add a sharepoint online list as datasource
3) Add a table visual with columns ID and Title
4) Add a PowerApps visual -> select ID and Title column
5) Publish the report
6) OPEN THE PUBLISHED REPORT in the Web Browser and there switch to EDIT
7) Click on "Create New" in the PowerApps visual in the Web Browser
Now finally it shows the auto-generated Gallery with the underlying structure. After saving in PowerApp you can open it also in Power BI Desktop via "Chose App" in the Power App visual.
Hope that helps
Marko
