Hello
I have two tables I'm trying to Merge the data in Power Query, but it's processing forever and won't come back.
Is there a way to get it to process?
My one table is 155MB in size the other table is 10MB in size.
What am I doing wrong?
Regards
GrahamR99
Solved! Go to Solution.
I installed Power BI Desktop on the office server, and remote connected.
The More power in hardware and the connect to the internet work.
Took 30 minutes to process, but did get there.

Hi @GrahamR99 ,
Take a look at the document about the Query Diagnostics in Power BI Desktop. It might help you check reason for the slow query.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/querydiagnostics.
You can try to increase the parameters in the data loading options to improve performance.
Also try to remove unused tables or columns, where possible.
Best Regards,
Jay
It's hard to say without seeing the datasets and looking at the merge parameters.
If I were to take a stab in the dark thought, I'd imagine, your merging parameters are many to many, so it's creating many duplicate rows, which might be very resource heavy for your computer.
Maybe try a dax solution for the table?
