Power Query automatically joining tables?

Hello,

I'm pulling in a table using an ODBC connection to our Microsoft SQL server. Why are all related tables automatically being pulled in? Read somewhere this causes HTTP calls for each row in the table you are expanding, is that true? How do I fix this

Data -> Get Data -> Query Options -> CURRENT WORKBOOK -> Data load.

  • Yes, Power Query is automatically detecting these relationships but you can turn this feature off in the Data Load settings.

    Microsoft documentation:

  • AlexisOlson Thank you for your reply! Do you know how to change this from Excel Power Query? Doesn't seem like those options are available there.
