Power Point Storytelling loading issue

Hi,

 

I embedded live power BI data in my power point. It works fine...but the issue is when I open power point, the visual is not loading up automatically unless I go to each slides to "load" the report manually. Can this be resolved via setting? or this is the limitation of storytelling add-on?

 

I inserted report link via below in power point

When I go to that slide, the PBI icon will appear and start to load the chart

    Hi  irenelitw629 , 

     

    Since we are viewing live data, the report or visual will reload whenever we open Power Point again. For the purpose, you can use the View menu on the toolbar. When you select one of the snapshot options, the current live view becomes a static, non-interactive image. This way, when you next open the presentation, you will see the static view you saved.

     

     

    The menu allows you to set the view to live data or to a snapshot. Two snapshot options provide you some control over who will be able to see the Power BI content in the snapshot:

     

    When you choose Snapshot, only users who have permission to view the report in Power BI will be able see the static image of the Power BI content. Users who don't have permission will be able to request access. This option helps keep you from inadvertently showing Power BI content to unauthorized users.

     

    If you choose Public snapshot, anyone who can view the presentation to be able to see the static image of the Power BI content, regardless of their permissions in Power BI.

    Thank you Zhu Anonymous  When I change to snapshot, the resolution is not good...the image is kind of fuzzy. Is it possible to adjust the resolution?

      Hi irenelitw629 ,

       

      The reason for low resolution in snapshot state is mainly because when generating snapshots, images may be compressed or use lower resolution image formats. This is to reduce file size and loading time, but will result in blurry images.

       

      The best way is to set the visuals size or font size of the report in Power BI to ensure that the viewing experience is not affected when the resolution is reduced in Power Point.
