Power Pivot vs PBI

Hi All

Recently when i post question on create P&L table , i notice that people share the link usually related to Power Pivot . and i notice that Power Pivot is using DAX .

So does it mean that when P&L Table can be solve by Power Pivot , it can be solve by PBI ?

    Power pivot and Power BI essentially share the same data modelling engine/database. What is different is the way you visualise the results. A matrix in PowerBI is very similar (although not as mature) as a pivot table in Excel. Almost everything that you can build in Power BI from a data model perspective can be done in power pivot too
