Power KPI Matrix Trendline

Good afternoon;

 

I am battling my way around the Power KPI Matrix visual. I have finally realised that the trendline is set by the values column (in my case the "resultado actual" column). I am hoping to use this visual to reflect current status ves Budget ("Presupuesto"). and ideally what I would like to reflect in the trendline is the % variance of the values column ("resultado actual") vs Budget ("Presupuesto"). The % Variance is seen in the "vs Ppto" column. 

 

 

 

 

 

Is this possible? In other words, can we choose which data the trendline actually shows?

 

If not, is there another visual in which the trendline can be color coded?

    Since you are using a custom visual. Could you please share us some sample data if possible? So that we can understand your requirement more clearly and make some proper tests.

      Hello Xi Jin, thank you for offering to help. Below is the same visual with the corresponding data table.

       

       

       

       

       

      From what I'm seeing, the trend line is drawn based on the column values in "Resultado Actual" (values column in the default Power KPI Matrix visual). 

      For "soporte" value CBAPP, the trendline reflects an upward trend (due to the increase in the values for "resultado actual", whereas the actual %Var is moving from -2.8% to -3.8% (descending in other words).

       

       

       

       

       

       

       

       

      For this particluar instance, the default trendline is in my opinion "misleading", since what I would like to reflect is the %Var trend. (for CBAPP the trendline should show a decline)

      So the question basically is whether we can decide which data the trendline reflects, and if not, is there another visual which includes trendlines and allows for colour coding.

        Sorry for delayed reply.

         

        With only a screenshot, it is hard for me to understand your requirement or even repro your issue. So could you please share us your pbix file if possible? 

         

        By the way, since you are using a custom visual. And some of the settings are just by design which we don't know. So I would suggest you to contact with [email protected] to talk about the custom visual features.

         

        Then for if there exists visuals which includes trendlines. As I know, for tabular only this Power KPI Matrix has trendline. Others are for charts. So I think you can submit an Idea here.
