Hi @Pran83,
When you refer the same text column on a new power bi is it the same semantic model or are you creating a new report from scratch?
I believe that you have discouraged the use of implicit measures on your model that is why you are getting that problem.
Go to the "Model" tab >> Select "Model" under the "Data" pane >> Select "Semantic model" >>check if Enable "Discourage implicit measures".
If this is turn on that is the root cause of the problem however be careful because if you have calculation groups turning it off can cause problems on your report

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @MFelix ,
Thanks for getting back. i managed to change colours using "apply settings" Individually. my version is May 2024.
The problem now is the few pages I created earlier month ago Y AXIS worked well.. Now I cannot drag anything (text column) to Y axis / value directly to get the count etc, I can only drag if I make the Dax measure, which i did now but thats not the solution.
But if open new power bi file, the Y axis is working fine with the text column etc.
Hi @Pran83 ,
Did you by any chance created calculation groups on your model?
Being calculated groups a way to reuse logic in several measures instead of creating new measures, and not being abble to be applied to implicit measures when you create calculation groups by default the implicit measures are discourage, meaning you cannot use them on your axis directly from columns, you always need to create measures

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @MFelix , well my concern is that I was using the same dashboard for long time and suddenly I have this issue. the data I used on y axis/value was text column to get the count, which I did previously, particularly in this dashboard it not working now. I feel is some kind of bug..
because when i use the same text column in a new BI file it works.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @MFelix
I have managed to fix it by applying individual dax and dragging it to Y axis. Thank I will look into the above setting.
Yes when I created new report from scratch all worked fine. the problem is with my existing report.

What version of Power BI are you using? is it a specific report or on all the files you create?
